Amandla Stenberg was intentionally painted negatively

During her appearance on The Daily Show six years ago, Amandla Stenberg engaged in a frank discussion about her film The Hate You Give, which is about police brutality. In her conversation, she stated that "white people crying was our goal."

However, this comment was used against her by people who wanted to paint her negatively and claimed she was talked about The Acolyte.

Following this, Stenberg released a music video that calls out the people who took a six-year-old interview comment and used it against her. Unfortunately, her intentions were again distorted by certain fans, who claimed that she was labeling them as inherently racist and bigoted.

This situation led to a wave of vile and nasty attacks and comments, including remarks like, “Go woke, go broke,” “Who’s crying now?” and “You’re a horrible actress.” These are just a few examples of the backlash she received; there were many more. Some people believed she deserved the hate directed at her because of the music video, which wasn’t even about The Acolyte and only called out the people who used an old interview view quote and video against her.

Furthermore, many thought she exhibited bad behavior. Others also said she was playing the victim and that it was just bad and nothing else. There was a misunderstanding where people believed she insulted the fanbase, which is not true. This misconception only reflects poorly on those who accused her.

Ultimately, this situation reveals that the individuals making these derogatory comments are demonstrating their true colors, which speaks more about their character than it does about Amandla. She allowed their behavior to be exposed, especially since people still leave nasty comments.
